Logo (from the Greek logo typos) is a graphical element (ideogram, symbol, emblem, icon, sign), which together with its logotype (presented and uniquely arranged typeface) form a trademark. Typically, the logo is made for immediate recognition. The logo is a trademark aspect of the company, economic or academic integrity, shapes, colors, fonts and images in general are different from those of other companies. Logos used to identify organizations or other non-trading companies. Today there are many corporations, products, services, agencies and similar using an ideogram (sign, icon) or an emblem (symbol) or a combination of both as a logo. As a result, only some of the thousands of ideograms that people see are recognized without a name below them. It is reasonable to use an ideogram as a logo, even with the name, if people have difficulty in identification. We use both images (ideograms) and the company name to highlight it instead of using the graphic title, making it unique with letters, colors and additional graphics.

Ideograms (icons, signs, emblems) may be more effective than the written name (logotype) especially for logos being translated into other languages, for example, name written in Arabic, will be difficult to identify the European market. Ideogram Store name patented in both markets. In unprofitable areas, the Red Cross (which leads Red Crescent in Muslim countries) is an example of really well known emblem which does not need an accompanying her name. Branding is done in order to be known in different countries. The logo of Coca-Cola is recognized everywhere for standard colors and well-known wave behind it.
Some countries have logos, such as Spain, Italy, Turkey and the Bahamas, which are easily recognizable. Such logos are often used by countries whose tourism sector is of great importance to their economy. Logo
The color is important to recognize, but not the major component of the design because it may conflict with the functionality. Some colors are formed / associated with specific emotions, the designer who wants to express. For example, bright colors like red, which is mainly used to attract the attention of drivers, are suitable for companies that need such attention.

In the U.S., red, white and blue are often used for logos of companies that want to awaken patriotic feelings. Green is often associated with health foods, and light blue on foods. For other brands, in tones and killed in the soft saturation “communicate” with other people, presenting quality, relaxation, etc.

Color also is useful for the association of products with a different brand. Warm colors (red, orange, yellow) are associated with hot food and this can be integrated in many logos of fast food. Conversely, cool colors (blue, purple) are associated with lightness and weightlessness, thus many diet products have similar colors in their logos.

The design of the logo is an important aspect of graphic design and is one of the most difficult to improve. The logo (ideogram) is an image representing the organization. Since the logos are designed to represent the companies is a big mistake, they are frequently updated.

Many people associate companies for web design only to make a functional web site from several pages. Nowadays it’s not so self-respecting web design companies do much more. They made complete solutions and concepts for Web site design, SEO optimization carried out, edit the content or code of web page be semantic (understandable) for humans and search engines provide Internet advertising. In a word nowadays web design firms seeking to provide a full range of services for the needs of each user.

There are many advantages that a successful web design company can provide you with the initial development and launch of an online business. These include firstly the promotion of brand (ad is an advertisement in the regardless of which sector), increase traffic, increase revenue, creating a certain image of the company and much more.

In most cases a company is not satisfied with the current status of its Internet business is better to trust the experienced firm for web design and advertising, to help them solve problems. Web Specialists will review their online business, make recommendations, and subsequently implement a plan by which to remedy any deficiencies identified during the audit of the site. There are a lot of techniques that help in implementing this plan, but in most cases the client needs a little help to get everything working on. Certainly people who perform the job should know what they do and have experience in their work or the whole project can be ruined and wasted resources uneventful.

Creating a successful brand in the Internet space is something that is made quite difficult and means. Let’s say you create video surveillance company, in this case, first you need a logo that would identify the identity of the company is easily recognizable and attractive. On the other hand after you have built and fully functional web site, can not rely on it to promote, through your family and friends and talk about it of mouth. Web design company will make Internet advertising and promotion techniques and using different methods. Generally much better to trust the professionals than has yet to explore how the whole process.

When the entire campaign is made, the results have delayed traffic to your site increases, and with it comes greater sales and therefore more profitable. Every online business wants high Internet traffic, it promotes the brand and also makes a solid brand in the market and in the eyes of your customers and business partners. Of course, you should not rely on any traffic is good most of the traffic is relevant and related to products and services company. Permanent maintenance of such traffic is achieved only with continuous work and money. You can obtain it by concluding a contract for SEO subscriptions, single or fixed Internet advertising campaigns, purchase of banners and advertising positions at other sites, not things in which the choice of a good web design company can help you.

Web designs need not look exactly the same in all browsers. I know that’s a topic I have written about and spoken on a fair amount before, but somehow I’m always amazed by the reactions that I get when the subject comes up.

Although this idea isn’t new (and just for the record I know I didn’t invent it), when I teach my design philosophy at workshops and conferences I’m often surprised to hear that the notion that people using different browsers (even up-to-date ones) might intentionally see differences in visual design sounds new.

The belief that all browsers should see the same design often requires us to resort to presentational markup, forked CSS and JavaScript DOM wizardry. It may come from:
- a deeply embedded feeling that the web shares print’s need for pixel perfection
- the desire of brand stewards to control every aspect of a design
- a misunderstanding among clients and managers perhaps reinforced by
- an old fashioned workflow that has its roots in print design and pre-press

Thinking about alternatives

Please allow me to clear up a common misconception. When I talk about designs not looking exactly the same in all browsers I am not talking about making bad designs for people using older or abandoned software. I would never accept that. Or that a design should look poor or broken. Or that a person could be denied access to content or services if they are using a less capable browser. What I am talking about is creating a visual design that looks best to people who are using modern software and at the same time thinking carefully about what a person using less capable software will see. This approach is simply based around thinking about alternatives. It’s little different to the way that I hope we have been taught to think about web accessibility.

You might be thinking that it’s strange for me as a visual designer first, that I would promote an approach where some people see a lesser design that others. But I’m also a pragmatist and I know that in my business, I would rather ask my clients to spend their money wisely on things that will improve their business, than to waste it on hours of unnecessary development.

Not everyone will agree with this approach and of course if you do agree, how far you take it will depend on several factors and your own circumstances. I have my limits too. So here are five examples of CSS design differences that I can live with and do live with every day.
Demonstration file

Before reading on, take a look at a Demonstration XHTML/CSS design file from one of my recent projects. I hope you think it looks great. I hope you find that nothing looks broken or out of place. I hope that you think that if you were reading this page, that you would find everything just where you need it to be, no matter what browser you are using.

CSS elements

I love to play with typography and CSS pseudo-elements offer far greater control over type without requiring unnecessary, presentational markup. For this design, I want to style the first line of the first paragraph following a heading in the main content areas in small-caps, while at the same time increasing the font-caps and letter-spacing to draw a reader’s attention to that area of content.

People using Internet Explorer 6 will see a regular first line. I can live with that. Using the first-child, I also sometimes like to add visual emphasis to the first paragraph of text in a given area, for example the first paragraph in the secondary content area of the demonstration file should be bold.

All major browsers have now implemented first-child and people using Internet Explorer 6 will see a normal paragraph. I can live with that. It’s hardly a reason to avoid using first-child.
Adjacent selectors

In the same vein, in my designs I often like to visually emphasize and separate the first, often most important, paragraphs of text that follow a heading. It’s a simple device, but I find it improves readability and scalability enormously. Using the + combinator in an adjacent selector, I style specific paragraphs without needing unnecessary class or id attributes. Of course people using Internet Explorer 6 will again see a normal paragraph, but guess what? I can live with that.

Border-radius

Unless rounded corners are an integral part of a design and not simply a visual flourish, it makes sense to avoid unnecessary markup (directly in the document or inserted by DOM scripting) and to use border-radius instead. Opera and Internet Explorer will see square corners instead of round ones, but I can live with that.

Attribute selectors

If you love to add those tiny icons to links, perhaps an external link icon, a PDF icon or possibly an RSS icon for feeds, why add additional class attributes such a class=”alternate” when you can just as easily use the more meaningful rel attribute?

Shadows

Drop shadows come in and out of vogue more often than Madonna. CSS offers an easy way to add a subtle shadow to text that can be particularly effective if you place white text over a darker background. I wish all browsers would implement text-shadow, but until they do I’ll have to live with that.

Exactly what modern CSS was designed to do

I know that it is highly unlikely that every browser will ever support every CSS property. You should learn to live with that.

I would never accept a design that looks poor or broken or that a person would be denied access to content or services if they are using a less capable browser. But each of these CSS properties helps me to reduce unwanted markup and make my designs less reliant on presentational elements or attributes; exactly what modern CSS was designed to do.

The domain name where your website resides at is an important part of your online identity. It represents your business in a vital way. Your domain name can have a big impact on the overall success of your website.

It pays off to think hard before you choose a domain name. Ideally your domain name should reflect your business’s core activities, but just having your brand name as a domain name sometimes isn’t enough. Here I will outline some things to keep in mind when you venture out and register your first domain name.

1. Pick the right extension for your primary domain name. If you run a local business that’s not in the USA, it pays off to have a domain name with your country’s local extension. So if you’re a Dutch business primarily active in the Netherlands, stick with a .nl domain name. If you do business internationally or primarily in the USA, always go for a .com domain.

Be sure to register your domain on multiple extensions to protect your online brand. Don’t rely on the .com only, also register .net, .org, .biz and .info. If you’re a European company, register the .eu as well. Register the .mobi and .asia just to be safe. You want to protect your domain name and make sure someone else doesn’t grab your domain with a different extension and starts competing with you. Have all these extra domain names point to your primary domain name where your website resides.

2. Make it easy to spell. If you have a very complicated domain name that’s hard to type, users will mistype it and get either an error or, if you’re unlucky, reach a different site entirely. So make sure your domain name is easy to type. This also helps when you have to spell it out on the phone to contacts and potential customers.

If your company has a difficult name that won’t be easily spelled as a domain, consider registering a different domain name to put your website on. You should still register your brand name as a domain, but it might be a good idea to not have that be the primary address of your website.

3. Make it easy to remember. Try to pick a domain name that’s catchy and memorable so it will stick in people’s heads. If people can’t remember your domain they might just try to find your business by searching in Google, which is likely to lead them to your competitor’s websites.

4. Don’t hyphenate unless you really have to. Hyphens, like numbers, make it more difficult for you to spell out your domain name on the phone, and makes your domain more difficult to remember. Only use hyphens to prevent confusion.

5. Make it relevant. If you’re not using your brand name as your domain, make sure your domain name applies to your business. Try to use keywords that describe your core business, but be sure to keep it short. Long domain names often don’t pass criteria 2 and 3.

6. Never use a subdomain or domain provided by your ISP. Always register your own domain name and arrange your own hosting environment. Nothing looks more amateurish than a business website on an ISP’s domain name like http://members.megaisp.com/~user101. A domain name with basic hosting is not expensive and it shows that you’ve at least put some effort into your website.

7. Register alternatives and misspellings. People make mistakes and will misremember or mistype your domain. If you own that mistyped version, you can still get that visitor to your site. Try to determine the most common variations and misspellings of your domain name and register those domains as well.

8. Avoid existing brand names or competitors. Many lawsuits have been fought over domain name ownership, and if you pick a domain name that resembles an existing business or brand too much you’re likely to find yourself on the wrong end of a legal settlement.

Your domain name is not the be all, end all of your online presence, but it’s a big factor and deserves proper consideration.

Flash gets a bad rap, undeserved in my opinion, for harming search engine visibility. Why search engine optimization (SEO) practitioners are concerned about Flash, and how can we SEO Flash content? Flash content is often heavy on images and interactive features, and light on text. As of 2008, the leading search engines are heavily dependant on text to understand the meaning of pages.

The leading web development tool, Adobe Dreamweaver, embeds Flash in web pages with code that fails to provide accessibility for visitors or search spiders who cannot handle Flash. Instead of using the default code, my recommendation is to hand code Flash pages with primary HTML content, and a method of automatically testing for Flash support before attempting to insert the movie. The primary HTML content can be search optimized as if the Flash wasn’t there, while the Flash provides an enhanced user experience for those visitors who have the necessary Flash player.

The April 11, 2006 release of Microsoft’s popular Internet Explorer (IE) browser includes an update (“Eolas”) that prevents ActiveX-based Flash controls from working properly. When the user attempts to interact with the Flash, a tool tip appears, stating, “Click to activate and use this control.” That extra click is an annoyance. In addition to helping search engines, the programming techniques described in this article solve the Flash Eolas problem.
Search Engines and Flash

Search engines have the ability to read Flash files and extract text and links. In particular, Google and Adobe announced a new algorithm for indexing textual Flash content on June 20, 2008. As explained by Rand Fishkin in Flash and SEO – Compelling Reasons Why Search Engines & Flash Still Don’t Mix, and Vanessa Fox in Search-Friendly Flash?, hoping that search engines can decipher you Flash is not a substitute for providing indexable HTML content.

Requirements for Successful Use of Flash
Flash animation is a great way to present complex content because it allows the designer to put more content in a finite space, without wrecking page design. For technology sites, Flash is an ideal way to present a slide show or movie explaining a complex product. At the other end of the spectrum, art and entertainment sites have a real need for multimedia and Flash is the perfect solution.

When using Flash, we’d like to satisfy each of these objectives:
- Clean design
- Search Engine Optimization
- Accessibility for a wide variety of browsers, including screen readers and mobile phones
- Code validation and standards compliance
- Correct functionality with IE
- SEO Flash Programming

My recommended Flash SEO method uses a DIV with search-engine-accessible, primary content, and an open source JavaScript function called swfobject() to detect when browsers are capable of viewing Flash. When an appropriate version of Flash player is present, the JavaScript manipulates the page’s document object model (DOM) to replace the primary content with the Flash movie. Most search engine spiders can’t handle Flash, so they will elect to view the primary content. The primary content may contain links, headings, styled text, images—anything we can add to an ordinary HTML page. With SEO copyediting and coding skills applied to the primary content, Flash becomes a non-issue.

Flash accessibility programming isn’t spamming, as long as the primary content and the visible movie are essentially the same. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) specifically states that multimedia content should have an alternative representation available. Accessibility programming creates the benefit of presenting visual information without losing the visitors and search engines who depend upon textual content.

As of July 2007, I discussed this method with Dan Crow of Google. He warned that this programming method could draw attention because of the possibility for abuse. If you use this method, make sure the alternative content is a faithful representation of the Flash content, and avoid combining this with other coding methods that could be abused. While this SEO method is not abusive, it is aggressive because there is a small risk that the search engines could mistakenly decide that the primary content is a form of cloaking.

Looking for cheap web hosting services? Look no further. We gathered the best, most affordable web hosting offers on the market and listed them below. If you are looking to start up a website, this would be the place to start. Regardless of the size of your budget, you will find the cheapest web hosting solution. These plans are perfect for any personal, hobby, or small business websites in need of both budget hosting as well as high quality and reliable services. The ranking is primarily based on the value for your money, but also on service and usability. All these plans also offer FREE SETUP.

How do I find the Cheapest Web Hosting Plan?
One might think that budget hosting means a compromise in quality. This could not be further from the truth. Listed above are serious companies, still offering e.g. disk space, free domains and unlimited traffic, just at a better price. Cheap web hosting plans offer excellent capacity, quality and security. The reason for the low prizes is that web hosting providers of affordable hosting split the expenses amongst a huge number of users, resulting in each user only paying a fraction of the total cost. Most of the plans listed above uses the cPanel interface that allows you manage everything from your email accounts to subdomains and MySQL databases.

Budget web hosting – Popular Market
The cheap web hosting market in the recent years has grown tremendously; increasing competition in the segment. For the buyer, this has been a positive change with lower prices and increased capacity and services, but unfortunately some less serious actors have appeared on the market looking to make a quick buck. You can rest assure that these fly by night operations are not listed; only the providers that are well established and offer well credited affordable web hosting. You will simply get more for less.

Capacity and Flexibility
These shared web hosting plans are cheap because you share one server with several other customers. The resources from one small part of a server is usually enough for most websites. However, if you need a more flexible (e.g. installing custom scripts) and powerful (many visitors and/or heavy content) home for your website(s) you should take a look at our list of Virtual Private Servers.

Many sellers assume that the best way to reach customers by email is spamming – or sending unsolicited bulk email. Not so. Here are five ways to use the ethical email to promote your product or service.
Many companies have tried to use electronic mail for advertising – only to receive a flood of abuse and revenge from angry internet users. A Harris survey of computer users revealed that, apart from those that are receiving the bulk unsolicited email, 42 percent want to stop receiving it. According to Time magazine, unsolicited email waste now explains 10 percent of all Internet traffic and up to 30 percent of 26 million messages per day at America Online.

Is there such ethical ways of using email to reach your audience on the Internet? Yes, I recommend the following methods Spam-free to leave a message without making enemies

1. Build your own email lists of the house.
Collect email address on your Web site, at trade shows in the product registration cards during sales calls and teleshopping, or other points of contact with customers and prospects. Make sure everyone on your list know exactly you will use your email address. Their own internal email lists are a valuable asset.
2. Start a list of warning.
This is a simple internal email list designed to keep touch with their audience on the Internet. Use it for news distribution company, launching new products, special promotions, announcements of changes in personal or other items of interest to your company to ‘contacts.
1. Publish a newsletter, free email.
An email newsletter, or is publishing a way to keep your company ’s name in front of your target market. Be sure to provide value – industry news, how-to articles, analysis and commentary on their place in the industry. His publishing company put an expert on the subject and enhance its reputation.
2. Make opt-in advertising power and voluntary email lists.
Opt-in email lists are now available for rent many companies. Unlike the spammeres bulk email, opt-in list providers have built their lists on a voluntary basis. The direct source of the email list, a directory of the Web that began, which provides links to many lists permission-based email.
3. Make advertisements electronic discussion lists and email.
No doubt you will find numerous newsletters and email discussion lists, interactive reach your target audience. Many of them accept advertising or sponsorships. If they put ‘ads and the sale of t, could – if you make an offer.

Spam is a topic so controversial that drive vendors now stuck with the permission-based email only. The risks to the company al ’s business and reputation are just too great. What is permission-based marketing real? Simple. Be sure to put anyone on any email list without your explicit permission. If anyone should ask to be removed from an email list will never be called on in the first place.

1. Size according to standards. Provided livelihoods standards. Have a banner bold, good and seem to attract huge attention more than any graphic design ever. However, if everyone is doing, then what is different about you? As a designer, said: I know that if your ad is slightly larger but can get more attention if all this where do we begin to stop. Stick to the standards is absolutely the norm. Some sites even require you to create your banner according to regular standards. It is so even better way to design your banner to this review later.
2. The large content matches the great flag. Apart from a great graphic design, your flag must also be content to match your banner. This should be short, simple, very straightforward and something that captures its object and purpose. Above all, be able to catch the attention.
The content of the announcement of the flag is to be direct and short simply because there is much room for a very long discussion of the information you want to get through. Furthermore, not everyone would want to read or try to read what you wrote in there. Save it as a minimum. Don ‘t over-Indulge. Get help from your friends and family up with what you mean, but in few words. You might even create a special saying you could use to identify the others in your field.
3. Color matching and animation. Your Web site should have color and animation that match on all pages. The colors should be eye catch and easy to watch, while the animation of graphic design should be made simple and short for easy download. No matter how catchy your banner animated and he would be lost because someone has clicked off the page before it could even be started. Just make sure your downloads quickly announced a fast connection. What is sure that your download time is reasonable.
4. A call that leads to action. Contrary to popular belief, people remain highly susceptible to suggestions, and that according to studies, called the words of the action still works. Try to integrate so-called action-a-word Now , called the click here or even now . That the purchase would help you convert your site to rent and return quickly to the investment.
5. A web designer who was once told that the best place to sample its Web site would be his family and friends. Could give a positive or negative feedback just because they are they want you to succeed. Also, do not be shy to tell you frankly if you ‘with reference to flag sucks. And so continue to use its lovedones criticize its design. He ’s free anyway.

The rich media advertising are doing that contains perceptual or interactive elements that are most concerned that the announcement typical of the static flag. Today, the term is often used for banner ads with interactive elements designed to capture the attention of the visitor to the site enough to entice the browser to visit or interact with the advertiser’s Web site. The rich media ads are generally more challenging to create and execute. Studies have shown that rich media ads tend to be more effective than ordinary animated ad banner.

With this in mind, what steps must one take when deciding whether a rich media campaign to correct them?

1. Budget! You can help your advertising budget cost-added design, development and hosting (serving). Flash ads can carry the flag of a considerable amount of time to encourage and to encrypt. These elements include the server-side scripting, integration of database, action-scripting (the code behind the Macromedia Flash) and reception. Sites that support rich media campaigns often require additional fees or financial constraints substantial file size.

2. Effective against striking. The use of flash for flash is becoming a practice of pre-2000. Times often a budget is best spent on something creative animation. After all, what good is an animation created evil? If your advertising message requires the user to enter (eg height, weight, smoking, non-smoker), then a campaign of media-rich are likely needed. However, if your message does not require the interaction time is often a static banner ad will do. Some advertisers are a mix of the advantages of ads for rich-media and the need for good creative, his determined approach.

3. Message size. Search engine sites such as Yahoo, Google and MSN have a range of sizes of the banner ad for you to choose from. Sizes range from square, high, wide, big and small dimensions of the pixel. The sizes are determined by the space that the host is willing to sell and the size of that particular area. The message size is important because the message can not fit in a 125×125 box. For example, if you have a map of the United States then you will want to choose the host with a wider footprint which a high ad available.

4. The flag of the creative advertising can make or break your advertising campaign. It striking the message or move the browser to turn the site (part of) the purchaser of the site (click). A good signature of the designer or design you can take your company image or message and graphically in an array of media advertising.

Advertising rich media advertising can be a viable option, attractive that you should consider adding to your overall marketing plan. Merged with other online marketing strategies such as search engine optimization, email marketing, design and development and web hosting reliable and fast, the Web site you can ensure that your company is doing everything possible to maximize their potential online.
